Fall Catch Up
Recently, it feels like all I have been doing is trying to catch up. Being away for work at the end of September really set me back, but we have managed to squeeze in lots of fun this fall. We loved going to Ethan's to help him celebrate his birthday and it was fun to go hang out with Ed and Carole down on the Cape. We managed a nice walk out to World's End in Hingham and last weekend went with friends from work out to Keene, NH for the 20th annual Pumpkin Festival. It was a bit of a drive out there but with Nika in the car, Elise was an angel, and slept the entire way home. It was an amazing day with dramatic clouds and sun. I think the only thing Elise will remember from our outing is this funny little squash that someone made into a baby with a dirty diaper - she loved it - oh and the double rainbow set against a gray sky and green and orange hill.
Incidentally, I did have another great trip with the Germans, though there were certainly some challenges and hiccups. It was a big group, which also made it more complicated. I am hoping to put together a Fellows program to Germany sooner than later. We'll see how that goes once our new Busch-Reisinger Curator comes on board in January. Finger's crossed I would get to go.
