Field Day Fun

Field Day at Johnson School and I knew I didn't want to miss it. I had a great time hanging out with Elise and her classmates while they played at the duckpond, ring toss, tug-of-war, and sponge race. It was a complete ego boost for me when, before we went outside I got to read a story (Franklin Plays Ball) to them and afterwards several of them said I was the best and Andrew even gave me a big hug saying he liked me ten-a-million-fourteen times after several othes said similar things. I felt bad leaving Elise at lunch when she started to cry. I had planned to take the whole day, but we ended up having a program that night at work that I had to attend so I couldn't. I do feel very lucky that we live here and Elise can take advantage of this great pre-school program, I can't believe how well she is doing at keeping up with the five year olds. The kids in her class are all adorable and we'll miss them when most of them go off to Kindergarten.
