Fun with the cousins

Late Spring fun with Aidan and Zane. A perfect Memorial Day at the DeCordova Museum sculpture park and down at Plymouth Rock - where we met up with the Cape Cod Eichners for dinner celebrating Drew's graduation from Boston University. It is always fun to hang out with the family. Aidan and Zane like to take turns riding in our car with Elise, even when she ends up taking a nap on the road. After the sculpture park we had some great ice cream at Pizzis Farm Ice Cream in Waltham.

Happy Mother's Day to Me

We had a lovely day at the Arnold Arboretum at their annual lilac Sunday. We took a picnic lunch and watched lots of Morris Dancers throughout the grounds. It was good that we got there early as the crowds were worse when we were leaving around 1:00 pm. Some year I am going to get Linda up here so she can admire all the lilacs.

Drumlin Farm Outing

One of our favorite places to visit the farm animals, Drumlin Farm. We got to watch one of the rescued owls eat their mousie lunch - yum and we saw all of the new little lambs and piglets. Elise still talks about how last time we were there one of the chickens bit her finger.

Hopscotch

Elise loves playing hopscotch - during the winter we had to place colored construction paper down on the floor in the apartment for her to hopscotch on, but now that the weather has improved she likes to play hopscotch outside. I think her love of hopscotch can be attributed to watching Max and Ruby - there is an episode where Ruby plays hopscotch with her bunnyscout friends. As you can see, she doesn't quite have the steps down but it is fun watching her try to figure it out.

Feels like Summer

As those of you in the Northeast know, last weekend was absolutely perfect with temperatures in the upper 80s and very little humidity. We took the opportunity to spend some time outside with Elise's chalk eggs. Fortunatly, the chalk came out in the wash. She loves playing hopscotch as you can see - I will try to post a video too.

So Stylin...

Another beautiful weekend outing on the South Shore, this time a walk in Marshfield at an Audubon sanctuary. We were hoping to see some harbor seals when we reached the water's edge, but no such luck. This is really quite the outfit, but she wanted to wear her cape and she loves her new sunglasses. It was a good thing she had on her boots as it was still quite muddy. The welcome center, which is a small house, wasn't open and she couldn't understand why we couldn't go into the "library."
