Kurt started working as an enumerator for the 2010 Census and since it is a temporary position we had to place Elise in a back up daycare for a couple of weeks. We are lucky that Harvard has a great benefit with Bright Horizons so we can use it up to 20 days a year and get the co pays reimbursed so it is like 4 weeks of free, high quality child care. The center near us in Hingham is terrific and while you wouldn't know it when we drop her off in the morning she really likes it there. All that said, on her first day one of the other kids reached over and scratched her face really bad. They called me at work to let me know and when they said scratch I didn't think it would be a 2 inch gash next to her eye. While they didn't give specifics, Elise had no problem letting us know that it was Connor who did it. Fortunately a week later it is looking much better. I'm just praying that it doesn't leave a scar.

Oh! Poor Elise!! Yikes. Someone ought to cut Connor's fingernails!
The fun of daycare- we never found out who bit Ethan (he isn't telling tales yet). I bet we'll have lots more incidents to get through but hopefully none of them will leave permanent marks.
