Lookout, Here we Come

Lookout Farm opened for the season in mid-August. We hadn't been in a couple of years and remembered the delicious late-summer plums, peaches and apples and decided it was time for a visit. It was a beautiful day, but a little dissapointing. The fruit was completely picked over, which was a little weird as they had only been open one week before, but it was almost impossible to find any peaches, let alone fill up a bag and the plums weren't much better. Elise enjoyed the playground, which they had changed a little since the last time we were there, but we didn't stay as long as I thought we might. Unfortunately, Kurt got really ill as we were going to the car. We didn't know if it was the (2) plums or a peach that he ate, or something else, but it took us almost an hour to get him in a state that we could get in the car. We then just drove to Bob and Erika's since it was much closer than our place. Kurt continued being sick for a few hours, but we managed to get home before too late. He later learned that one of his inmate workers was also sick with a stomach bug over the weekend so we suspect that was what it was.
